Benjamin was born and raised in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Glenda was born In Jackson Mississippi and raised in California. They met and have been married for over 28 years, they are the parents of two and grandparents of seven.
Benjamin, a disabled war veteran served a year of duty in the United States Army during the war in Vietnam. His hobbies are roller skating and bike riding. Glenda's hobbies are reading, playing board games and watching movies.
In 1991, Benjamin and Glenda started as volunteers, doing 12 step groups at the Pacifica House in Hawthorne, California. Benjamin worked with the men, while and Glenda worked with the women. They realized then that they were on to something good helping others. They felt good about the work they were performing while they both received the benefit of staying sober. They continue doing workshops in the 12-step community at different facilities in Los Angeles, California.
In 1995 Benjamin and Glenda moved to Moreno Valley and started a 12-step group and provided workshops out of their residence garage. As a result of being of service in our community, they embraced the need to continue to reach out and help people from a hopeless state to become productive members of our society. With their passion for helping others of all diverse cultures, by opening The Hole in Wall Inc. which is a Drop-in Center for the homeless and any one in need. With that came an Alano Club and 12 step meeting establishment located at 24183-24187 Postal Avenue, Moreno Valley, California.
Our goal is to expand The Hole in Wall Inc. services to include a shelter for the homeless that will house 50 men and 50 women with wrap around services to help them reconstruct their life, a Recovery Center for substance abuse and provide Case management to assist those who struggle with a pathway to change.
